You are free to lay your burdens down, coming alive right here, right now - Morgan Harper Nichols

Education and Experience

I graduated from the University of Montana in 2015 with a Masters in Counseling and received my mental health counseling license in 2019.

My passion for helping others started from an advocacy perspective, mostly helping people who were survivors of domestic violence navigate the waters of court cases, custody, and remaining safe from their abusers after leaving their abusive partners. I worked together with those survivors to also learn and grow and heal from what they had been through in both an individual and group setting. This passion was further expanded in helping individuals who had just been sexually assaulted get through their exams at the hospital and providing support to them in the period after that. It was during this time that I realized how completely resilient and strong people were, even under the most difficult of circumstances. It felt like an honor and something very special to support people who were showing such incredible feats of strength and bravery.

Since my graduation, I have worked as a crisis therapist for several years and helped children and families navigating depression, anxiety, parenting skills, as well as difficult behaviors in children due to trauma histories as well as developmental delays. Additionally I helped youth navigate their thoughts and feelings of suicide and strengthen their connection with the adults in their lives when possible.

During my work as a therapist I have learned that the most important thing you can do to help others is show up for them, sit with them in their difficult feelings, provide empathy, and listen. I look forward to being that person for you and supporting you in your healing journey.

Most recently I have worked with long-term clients in a teletherapy setting. I have worked with adolescents, teens & adults. The focus of that work has been mostly working with presenting concerns of anxiety and the wide net that it can cast around your life.
